Head of Platform Engineering

The role

Lead a 25-strong platform organisation — cloud infrastructure, developer experience and SRE — for a scaling UK technology company heading into its next funding stage.

Our client is a UK technology company whose platform underpins everything the product teams ship. This is a genuine leadership seat: three team leads report to you, the cloud budget is yours, and the board wants a platform strategy they can invest behind — not just keeping the lights on.

What it takes

• Proven leadership of platform or infrastructure teams at 50+ engineer scale
• Deep AWS and Kubernetes background, with opinions on developer experience you can defend
• Comfortable owning a multi-million-pound cloud budget and presenting it upwards
• The credibility to hire and keep strong engineers

Package

£120–140k base, bonus, meaningful equity, hybrid London (2 days).
