Senior Data Engineer

The role

Own batch and streaming pipelines on a modern lakehouse stack for a data-led product business in Cambridge — small team, big estate, real ownership.

The data platform is the product here: a Cambridge business whose customers pay for the quality of its numbers. You'd be the senior voice in a team of five, owning pipeline architecture end to end and setting the standard the rest of the team builds to.

What it takes

• Python and Spark in production, with a strong grasp of dimensional and event modelling
• Streaming experience (Kafka or Kinesis) beyond proof-of-concept
• The instinct to treat pipelines as products — tested, observable, documented
• Comfortable talking to the commercial side about what the data can and can't say

Package

£85–95k, bonus, hybrid Cambridge (2–3 days).
